Dina Rauker, PsyD, LP

Dina is a psychotherapist who also has 20 years’ experience in leadership consulting. Central to her therapeutic work is her belief that we all strive toward our potential, seek happiness and contentment, deep relational connection, and a sense of meaning and purpose. Relatedly, we also seek to avoid pain and that it is out of this desire to minimize our suffering that we develop habits of feeling, thinking and behaving in response to difficult or traumatic experiences and relationships that are adaptive when they arise—and even lead to towering strengths—but that come with a cost to our well-being, and that over time show up as such symptoms as anxiety, depression, shame, emotional dysregulation, personal and/or work relationship difficulties, addictive behaviors and overall stress and dissatisfaction.

Dina’s therapeutic approach is grounded in the belief that clients have the inherent ability to heal from pain and trauma that inhibits developing toward potential and well-being, and that it is through relationship—relationship with self and relationship with others—that healing and growth occur. She works to establish a trusted, non-judgmental therapeutic relationship to create the safety needed to allow clients to step back and deeply reflect, to become more connected to all aspects of themselves, and to recognize and cultivate their inherent awareness, compassion and wisdom to navigate the challenges and changes they face in both their personal and work lives and relationships with more ease and skillfulness, and to live their lives with more joy and connectedness.

Her work is informed by attachment and psychodynamic theory, adult development stage theory, wellbeing and neurobiology research, trauma research, Internal Family Systems therapy (IFS), narrative therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), somatic therapeutic approaches, and contemplative meditation teachings and practices.

She also draws on her experience and insight from her leadership consulting, where she helps leaders accelerate their leadership development and readiness to elevate to broader roles, enhancing their purposefulness and skillfulness leading themselves, others and their organizations, increasing their meaningful contribution and personal satisfaction.
